Old Santee Canal Park
Rich in culture and history, visitors embrace the opportunity to stand on the very ground which once served as an early Native American trading post. Later, this 195-acre park became the site of the Santee Canal, the first true canal in the United States. This beautiful area also served as the design and construction site of the first semi-submersible torpedo boat, the CSS Little David.
